Samco Machinery prepares to flex its muscle at FABTECH
Company affirms its role as a provider of engineered roll forming solutions
TORONTO, September 23, 2014 – Samco Machinery LTD gears up for its share of annual trade shows throughout the world. FABTECH, scheduled for November 11-13 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, presents Samco with the opportunity to demonstrate how the company has adapted to the growing specific needs of multiple industries.
“FABTECH is a different type of trade show,” says Bob Repovs, CEO of Samco Machinery of Toronto. “At FABTECH, we can flex our muscle with our engineering strengths. We’re not just a roll forming company; we’re a solution provider. We’re the guys to talk to for solutions with challenges with roll forming and with material handling on either end of the roll forming equipment.
“We are not an ordinary roll forming company. We’re an engineered-to-order equipment company.”
This year’s FABTECH is expected to attract 27,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibiting companies. Attendees will experience live equipment demonstrations, find cost-saving solutions and network with potential business partners. FABTECH also provides more than 100 educational sessions and presentations on the latest industry trends and technology in metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries.
Repovs says many of Samco’s business relationships started at FABTECH. “We meet a lot of new faces at FABTECH,” he says. “It’s a diverse gathering. You never know what kind of challenge will come to your booth. Someone may be looking for equipment to manufacture a barbecue part or a solar part. That’s what we do. We take them from A-to-Z to provide a solution.”
Samco Machinery manufactures equipment for a variety of industries, including HVAC, garage doors, automotive, roofing and framing. Repovs says the demands of each industry overlaps with the others and the information they learn in one industry can be applied in others. That’s why the Samco staff includes 25 engineers.
“FABTECH is also a great opportunity for our engineers to learn,” Repovs says. “They get a chance to walk around the trade show floor and see what’s going on out there.”
Samco Machinery not only provides solutions for roll forming, but also solves problems with material handling on either end of roll forming equipment. Every customer has a unique need, requiring a unique solution. The Samco engineering department, working with the customer, generally provides a fully integrated custom-designed line.
Repovs says helping customers come up with solutions for their manufacturing challenges is what drives the Samco business. “This is the show that attracts engineers, plant managers and company executives,” he says. “They’re looking for solutions or looking to improve efficiencies. Our business has adapted to meet these needs.”
